Three of this tasting’s bottles will be brand new; a Rueda Verdejo, an Alsace Edelzwicker (white blend), and a Bordeaux Merlot. The other two wines that will be poured are the Ziereisen Pinot Noir (from Baden in Germany) and an “old vines” Merlot from Bordeaux that is also aged in oak barrels, which will be an interesting comparison with the other Merlot which is entirely vinified and matured in stainless steel tanks.
